A huge congratulations to Ellie Clements on achieving an important milestone in her career as a Quantity Surveyor.

On the Holy Trinity School project, Ellie successfully took ownership of several key commercial responsibilities from start to finish. She completed the full material take-off, ensuring the quantities were accurately assessed, and the required materials were identified and ordered.

She also played an important role in negotiating the labour price, demonstrating confidence in dealing with costs and contractors and beginning to develop the commercial skills that are so important within quantity surveying.

To complete the process, Ellie prepared and produced the final account for the project, bringing together the costs and commercial information and demonstrating her ability to see a project through from initial take-off and procurement all the way through to final account.

This is a fantastic first achievement and a great example of the progress she is making through her apprenticeship as a Quantity Surveyor. It shows not only her technical ability, but also her willingness to take responsibility, learn, negotiate and deliver.

Well done, Ellie — a fantastic achievement and hopefully the first of many!
